These are pictures of me dancing with Uncle Avi at the wedding. I loved to dance with him and had so much fun. I will miss Uncle Avi because he is in shamayim but I know that he is in our hearts always.
Hey, Abby: He loved dancing with you too. Thanks for reminding us of some of the really good times.
It might sound trite, but she really does remember it. When an adult, especially family, makes the effort to engage with a child on their level, it makes an indelible impression. My uncle was just such a man. He would wiggle, giggle and jiggle his way through conversations with little ones making sure they returned the reaction in kind. He saw through the minutia right to the magic and reveled in the boundless curiosity, simple innocence and interminable love of a child. As a father now, it is this that I most miss. He somehow managed to "schep nachas" (relish in prideful love) from other people's children and has left me with a lesson — never miss an opportunity to share love abound (and to give a gentle kiss on the keepe too)
