Washington Post Obituary

I hadn't been aware of it until a few days after his death, but my father had an obituary in the Washington Post:

On Saturday, June 22, 2013, in Rochester, MN, ABRAHAM M. KARKOWSKY, M.D., Ph.D., of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Nancy Karkowsky. Devoted father of Chavi (Josh Greenfield), Menachem (Anne Webb), Malki (Jamie Sorge), Shuli (Avi Rabinowitz), Zev (Hasya Pearlman) and Rafi Karkowsky. Dear brother of Tayna Moskowitz and Mayeer (Miriam Tare) Karkowsky. Loving grandfather of Matan, Meirav and Nadav Greenfield, Shai Meshulem Sorge and Vered Chaya Karkowsky. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013, 9 a.m. at Young Israel Shomrai Emunah, 1132 Arcola Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20902. Burial will take place in Israel. Shiva will be announced. Memorial contributions may be made to Young Israel Shomrai Emunah, Chabad of Rochester, MN or to Hatzalah. Most meaningful were the comments:



(My favorite part is from the second commenter: "...he also never failed to ask about my family and boast about his." That sounds about right.)
